Will we still need to do in-person interviews?
Yes. At PeopleCurve, we believe the face-to-face interview remains a step in the hiring process. Only through in-person interviews can organizations get enough insight into the skills, traits, and personality of the candidate. In depth questions can be effectively asked and non-verbal communications skills can be thoroughly evaluated. However, given that committee and team interviews are more the norm than the exception, the time and cost of the interview portion of the hiring process are very high. PeopleCurve Envoy helps employers get to know the candidate before committing to the cost of an in-person interview. This permits employers to effectively screen candidates and ultimately conduct in-person interviews with only the very best candidates.
What does a candidate need to conduct an Envoy interview?
A candidate needs a PC, webcam and a high speed Internet connection. The PC can be a Windows or Mac system. Many PCs include a webcam, but these days buying an external webcam is a simple process through a local electronics merchant or online. Candidates simply click on a link and all software is downloaded and installed.
What does a hiring manager or HR staff member need to review and manage Envoy interviews?
Employers only need a PC, a Web browser, and a high speed Internet connection. The PC can be a Windows or Mac system. Like candidates, employers do not need to install any software. Employers simply click on a link and all software is downloaded and ready to run.
What does my IT department have to do?
Little, if anything. The Envoy service uses standard Internet protocols that are consistent with most IT policies and procedures. Applications use standard HTML and Adobe Flash technologies so that no user intervention is needed to load and run the videos and review tools. And, the PeopleCurve datacenter securely stores and streams the videos so that no additional hardware or software is required.
Does Envoy integrate with our HRIS or ATS?
Yes. The PeopleCurve platform can provide a variety of secure Web interfaces to integrate with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR Information Systems. Please contact PeopleCurve for more information.
